Easter is almost here (how?!) and we are fully invested in getting our entertaining skills honed for this Spring! New spring products are slowly getting released and I've been diving into each new collection release ready to pick up a few new items.
We couldn’t be more excited to say goodbye to the cold and start preparing for warmer weather! Whether you're planning a casual brunch this Easter, or a fun outdoor barbecue, we are here to help you elevate your spring entertaining with some of our go-to entertaining tips:
1/ Embrace Fresh Floral Arrangements: One of the simplest yet most effective ways to bring spring into your home is through fresh floral arrangements. Incorporate large simple arrangements of one type of floral into your decor to add pops of color and fragrance to your space. Arrange stems in simple vases or repurpose vintage containers for a unique touch. Nothing says spring like some oversized branches! If flowers aren't your thing, add a new light room scent to achieve that same bright feeling when people walk in the door. This one is a great go-to option.
2/ Brighten Up Your Table: Opt for bright and airy table linens in white or cream shades or playful patterns to create a soft and inviting atmosphere. We are absolutely loving blue patterns this year like this one here! Mix and match dinnerware, glassware, and flatware for an eclectic yet sophisticated look. This ice bucket adds the perfect amount of casual texture - Love!
3/ Create Relaxed Outdoor Spaces: Take advantage of the (hopefully) beautiful spring weather by extending your entertaining space outdoors. Whether you have a spacious backyard or a cozy patio, there are plenty of ways to create inviting outdoor areas for your guests to enjoy. Arrange comfortable seating with plush cushions and throw pillows, set up a modern bar cart stocked with refreshing beverages, and add ambient lighting with string lights or lanterns. Go above and beyond and include a few outdoor heaters in case the temps haven’t gotten to a comfortable temperature but you still want to enjoy the sunshine.
4/ Serve Fresh Foods: Spring is the perfect time to showcase fresh, seasonal ingredients in your menu. From colourful salads to light and fun cocktails, Spring is all about brightening things up and enjoying a slower pace (in my opinion!). I love having a small curated charcuterie board with some new cheese and meat options, hopefully something most of your guest haven't tried before. I also love mixing in some specialty crackers, finger foods or chocolate, I always make a trip to Bella & Wren in Fort Langley before entertaining and grab a few of their specialty food items, they have such a great selection! I'm loving relaxed presentations lately and am obsessed with this plate for charcuterie serving!
Here's a favourite side dish we're loving from Athena Calderone lately...If you don't have her cookbook yet, you need it! You can also find this whole recipe on her site here
*I subbed a few items with what I already had in my fridge

Happy Entertaining!
